Synopsis: Two turtles and a psycho with a hockey stick play a quick game of Catch Up.

Location: The Wrong Side

Participants: Leonardo, Raphael, Casey Jones

Rating: PG-13

Leo hasn't hidden himself, but then the City is a really big place. Hell, each section of it is huge, so perhaps there have been rumors, or not, of the turtle that teaches martial arts down at this community center. There are so many stranger things here that the Turtles blend right in. Of course come habits never fade. Can't sleep so he's gone top side. To think, to brood, to enjoy what can be called the night air… Making what may be a familiar silhouette against the lights of the better City areas beyond. Not wearing a bandanna, but wearing his swords at least. Leo hasn't often felt the need for a bandanna that didn't much hide his identity anyway. He's a lot to think about considering he's found Raphael again. Found, argued with, and parted ways. Yeah, same old Raph. Of course this doesn't mean Leonardo's not paying attention. One doesn't live in this area as long as he has without making sure he doesn't get attacked. Never mind that his perch is hard to get to for most people.

Most people are not Casey Jones. The impeccable master of stealth that is Casey Jones has decided to look down from his perch that's only slightly higher than the perch that Leo is on right now. He's got his eyes narrowed and he's focused on the Wrong Side below. However, there's just a smirk that creeps up beneath his mask as he doesn't really feel the need to make his presence felt until the shadowy figure he watches is being still enough. “Heh.” is finally announced, as he leaps and somersaults down to the rooftop where Leonardo is currently, his golf bag swinging to a stop as he lands. “Let me guess, the bandana's in the cleaners.” It's all about the witty remarks to help make this turtle knows that he's a friend and not a foe.

There's no immediate recognition to that human figure leaping over rooftops but it certainly has Leonardo's attention. Not until Casey stops, that bag triggering memory, that eyes widen and in spite of himself the turtle smiles. Well now! It's been a long time for this Turtle, but there's no way you can ever really forget Casey Jones. “My other pants.” Is offered back easily. Rising from his crouch, he shows no knee pads, just a brace on one leg. This time of night that's a detail that might escape notice. “Been a long time for me, Casey, but I have to say it's good to see you.” A pause before he has to ask, “You and Raph attached at the hip or something? He's here too.” Knowing how this weird place is, people can miss one another.

Casey just keeps his hands where they can be seen, just in case this is some kind of twisted illusion or a trap or something. But in the end, he looks to be as relaxed as someone can be when they are talking to a talking turtle. Which is pretty relaxed, when you have a New Yorker like Casey. “Nah. It's more that if I don't keep his ass outta' trouble, then I gotta' be the one to pick up the pieces.” He reaches up to lift his hockey mask and let it rest on the top of his head. “And god knows I ain't tryin' to clean up pieces of turtle all over the place.” Only Casey Jones can make such morbid jokes.

It's night time to go hunting for those who'd prey upon the week. Except Raph has decided to take the night off so to speak. Still he isn't about to be a lazy bum. No sir! The turtle is wanting to explore this 'wrong side' neighborhood more. If he missed Leonardo here, who and what else might have slipped his notice? With concern for his altworld brother he'd nicked himself a cloak. A light dusty brown poncho like flap of fabric with a hood. It looks more like something out of a western than something medieval. It's tattered condition leaves him with plenty of ability for quick movement and it's more likely to rip than entangle if some one should try to grab hold.

Since sundown he's been wandering, going street by street starting at the west most edge an working his way south. Eventually he's made his way closer to where Leo's dojo is. Just to see it from afar when a flicker of shadow upon a roof top catches his attention. He swiftly bounds to a near by vantage point and lurks within a shadow. He's still building or two away.

Morbid they may be, but they are also so true. It has Leo sighing, but also shifting. Lets his weight create momentum and he slides down a small slope to come to stand on the edge of the rooftop he's on. Puts him just out of arms reach of the one Casey is standing on. Does sound a little different. Voice a touch deeper. “I saw Raph the other day. He'll be glad to know you're here. If I see him I'll pass the word.” For he has no means to contact his brother. Did that on purpose. “You doing alright? How long have you been here?” Simple questions really. Leo is wearing his swords, but little else. Just that brace for his knee. Not even the pouches. Didn't think he'd run into trouble tonight just out getting some air. “I have a place you can stay if you need it.” Family gets open invitations of course, and Casey is family until proven otherwise.

“Long enough t' know this place needs a serious makeover.” Casey remarks, motioning off to the Wrong Side as a whole. He's gotten himself into a more relaxed state, though his senses are still paying close attention to his surroundings. After all, he doesn't want to be caught unawares. “Me an' Shadow been here for… shit, I dunno. Hard t' keep track o' time. I dun even know if my watch still works right.” There's a quick shrug and Casey's crouching right there in his spot. It's good to crouch. It makes that wild hair of his look even cooler. “Ain't really been outta' this 'hood. But I gotta' bet that whatever's out there is better than this.”

Raphael catches a word or two despite the sounds of the city going on around them. A crying babe, cat like critters in the alleys, cars and other vehicles. He knows Leo's voice any where. Casey? he's a close 2nd to the brothers green. Crossing the expanse with his usual ninja stealth silence mode Raphael swings himself onto the rooftop that Casey's on. “That would depend on what ya think Better classifies as.” he says with a wide grin. “Long time no see man.” Leonoardo gets a nod of greeting.

“Casey, that generally takes five minutes.” To know the Wrong Side needs a makeover. Leonardo decides that he isn't going to press the issue though. If he didn't get told up front odds are he'll never know. “Shadow?” It's not something he's familiar with. Clearly a name, but who? Then Raphael appears and the eldest of the brothers doesn't ask more. Does nod greeting back though, and since this is a reunion he sinks down to settle to that roof edge. Swings that bad leg over the edge. Sadly he has no wild hair by which to crouch and look good for. That and crouching for long periods hurts these day.

SOME vigilante heroes don't have hurt knees. Which is why Casey can stay crouched for so long. But then he hears Raph's voice, because hearing a ninja approach is pretty much impossible, he's lifting up and spinning around to spot the turtle. “Oh, y'know, some place that ain't filled wit' giant talkin' turtles.” Casey is quick to tease his friends, whilst he strolls over to offer a fistbump to Raphael. “Yeah, Shadow. Y'know, my daughter?” Casey seems to have forgotten that not all people he may know are people that may know him. It's weird.

Raphael is always awesome, and always a vigilante, no matter what. Totally. The fistbump is returned with enthusiasm.

Anyway, Raph smirks at the two. “Shadow? Dude, your kidlet got drawn in with you? What about April? ” he sounds almost hopeful. More family?! wouldn't that be the pepperoni on the pie!

Maybe not being a vigilante hero could explain the lack over here. Not that Leo seems too concerned about his self image as he sways a foot and rolls his eyes. “No, Casey, I didn't know you had a daughter.” Reminding the other. So not touching the giant turtles line. Looks curious because Raph seems to know about the kid. “Is it April's?” So not assuming that either. “Not that the idea of Casey having children doesn't make my head hurt..” And yet he's grinning for that one.

“Kidlet my ass. She's a damn terror, that's what she is.” Without really the ability to say anything else about his daughter without having to backtrack, the smile on his face should be enough to explain that he's just teasing. He loves his kid. “Uh, nah. On both counts.” Casey almost sounds a little bit sad about that. Having April around would be… it'd make this whole thing a lot easier. But for now, he'll just have to deal. “And for th' record, Lean Green, I'm a kick ass father. Do you know I had Shadow swingin' cricket bats before she was seven? Like a pro, that girl.” Proud Father Moment.

Raphael arches a brow ridge. “Really? Well daughter like father.. can't really blame her.” he snerks. Of course Casey's proud of her, and Raph doesn't see any reason why he shouldn't be. As for April? that she isn't here, that totally blows. “You totally need to enroll her in my … bro's lil' classes.” the sai carrying turtle states. “I bet she'd have some real fun.”

That curious expression shifts to thoughtful uncertainty. Not April's. “Multiverse.” Leonardo sighs, chalking it up to that. Can't say anything about teaching the girl early. Splinter had them learning as early as possible too. “Turning it into a family tradition?” Asked with a smile. “You should take her out of the closet where you store her and let me meet her sometime.” Raphael's idea has him nodding in agreement. “Getting to train with others might be fun for her. Of course I'll have to take away all her sticks.” Looks thoughtful over this. “Which would give me a workout I'm sure.”

“We got us a place not far from here.” Casey would never go too far from his kid without her by his side. That's for damn sure. “Puck U.” He's definitely giving both of his turtle brothers some friendly invitations without actually inviting them over. “Call before you ninja in, okay?” That's all he's going to say about them being allowed to come visit. He's certainly too Casey to actually ask them to come. “Leo, you can barely handle me. You think you can take my little girl? Oh, we'll be by sooner than later so I can laugh my ass off.” It feels good to actually joke with his friends again.

Raphael groans at the name of the store. However there's still that big wicked grin present. “I left my turtlecom in my other shell, but I'll try to warn ya in case of impending visitation. Possibly a brick through the window. ” he snerks. But on to more serious things! “You still taking your bad hair days out on the thugs of the City?”

Thinking the man isn't being serious Leo says nothing of Puck U. If he only new. “That defeats the purpose.” Of calling ahead before ninjaing in. “At least your little girl has a chance of smelling better, Casey.” Placid and uncaring about what Casey thinks of his abilities. Leonardo's ego, such as it is, is far more stable than that. “I've no doubt she's cuter too. At least it will be a pleasant change of scenery.” A tilt of head and he asks Raph. “Want a phone? If we found an old 90's model cell phone you wouldn't even need the brick.” Pretty sure one can find anything here in the City if you look hard enough.

Casey raises an eyebrow at both of his turtles. “What? Puck U is an awesome name.” He can tell when there are people (or turtles) that don't get his sense of humor. Besides, he's the one that has to live there. Not them. Ever. Well, y'know, unless the Foot burns down their current living arrangements. Then he'll consider it. Maybe. Possibly. Whatever! “Okay, first of all, just because I have luxurious locks and you're jealous, don't be wishin' no bad hair days on me, alright? Chicks dig this. But yeah, I've been single-handedly cleanin' up this rat hole. What the hell have you two been doin'?”

Raphael snerks. “Ah but even a brick cell phone doesn't have that nice weight you need to utterly shatter a window the proper way.” he notes sagely. “There truly is an art to it. If you behave, I'll teach you some day.” he nods with that sly evil grin. As for Raph has been up to. “Cleaning up everything you missed. As usual. Some things don't ever change in the multiverse apparently.”

Single handedly cleaning up.. Leonardo can't help himself and he snerks with laughter. “Oh, thank you.” Mockingly sounding thrilled for the offer of breaking windows practice. “I keep busy.” He notes placidly of what he's been doing. Not that today is a good example, but even turtles can't work twenty four seven. “This and that.” Mostly because it would take far too long to actually explain it all in any way that made sense. “And wait. Isn't it more of Casey and daughter have been cleaning up? Does she count for so little?” Just being teasing there.

”… Yeah, yeah. Your Ninja Mind Tricks don't work on me, pal.” Casey is giving a dismissive wave at Leo, while rolling his eyes at Raph. “Oh please. Must I recount the first time we met? Who's ass was handed to them?” Casey just moves his same dismissive wave from Leo to Raph and proceeds to adjust his mask back down onto his face. “Speakin' of, I gotta' get back to her. She's probably worried. I was only supposed to be doin' a quick sweep. Not have an Ass Kicking Reunion.”

Raphael thinks back. “I'm pretty sure it was yours. Maybe your reality was different.” he chuckles. The one eyed turtle can't imagine the last time he laughed so much. “No worries dude. ” but there is a tidge of regret that Casey has to be all responsible. “Say hi to the rugrat for me..”

“That's because they require you have a brain to work, Casey. Which you don't.” Totally teasing, Leo grins. “Bring the girl by sometime. I'd love to meet her.” Waves a good-bye and lets the man go without any trouble. “I was serious about the phone, Raph. If you want.” The offer is light, and easily dismissed a second time. Wasn't serious about the brick size though.

Casey rolls his eyes at his green brothers and makes sure his mask is firmly affixed to his face. “Casey Jones. Out like a mother fuc–AHHHHHHHHH!” And that'd be Casey slipping off the side of the roof. There's a clang as he hits the fire escape, followed by a groan. “Shut up! Don't say a word!” And then there's the sounds of him making with the rest of his less than stellar exit.

Raphael shakes his head. “Believe it or not Leo, I can provide for myself.” he says lifting his chin just a tad. “I've got a throwaway cell.. battery needs recharging. I keep forgetting. I mean who's gunna call? so I haven't really bothered with it.” which is when Casey does his Wily E Coyote impression. ”..auh that's gotta have hurt..” he grimaces.

At AAAAA Leonardo starts grinning. Wisely says not one word about it. “I dunno, Raph. If you gave me the number I might call on occasion.” Hands lift. “I mean.. imagine!” Sounding mock shocked. “Really, what if you hadn't been here today? Which, aside, it's really nice you did come here today.. it could have been days before I could tell you about Casey. That kind of thing. Could leave message you can ignore.” And with that he lets it go.
